What a wonderful experience it is to stay at these beautiful cabins, with guided hunts and four course meals. You will be in for an adventure of a lifetime here at the lodge. With great hunting spots; as well as great guides. Owners John an Edie Poole moved from Texas, where they had a historic hotel in Catarina. They refurbished the hotel as a hunting lodge and café for five years until they sold it. Mr. Poole had became a U.S border patrol, and was rewarded with a marksmanship instructor certificate in 1984. He also has a history of being a chef, and with this being said they have a lot to offer at the lodge.
There are five guest cabins, the first two are Amity and Argyle. These cabins both sleep four. Inside includes; bunk beds, private bath, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, and coffee maker. The next two cabins are Larado and Uvalde, these both sleep five, and includes; private bedroom with queen bed, two twin beds in loft, private bath, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, and it also includes an electric skillet. The Carrizo Cabin, sleeps six, includes; private bedroom with queen bed, two twin beds in loft, twin bed in common area, private bath, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, and electric skillet. All cabins have mounted charcoal grill, and complete sets on lines, pillows and towels.
Big game hunts, such as; Black bear, moose, and whitetail deer. And small game hunts such as; Turkey, grouse, woodcock, and rabbit. These all provide a complete line of guided or semi-guided hunts. Seven hundred twenty acres; one with river frontage, and nineteen thousand attached acres granted. Another great thing to do while staying at the lodge is fishing. There are many different ponds, streams, and lakes to fish at. With a three hundred and ten acre lot with over a mile on the Sebec River. And with access to six thousand more acres on Sebec River. This is a perfect opportunity to fish and almost guaranteed a fish every time you throw a line in the water.
A certified NRA (National Rifle Association) instructor with 30 years of competitive shooting and teaching experiences. There is a two hundred and fifty yard range, and a fifty yard pistol range. The instruct must be present at all times during lodgers use of firearms.
During the winter season, snowmobiling is a fun thing to do in Maine. It is directly connects to ITS-83, with thousands of miles of connecting trails. The trails are only about 20 minutes from the lodge. It is a great chance to explore many sights and nature scenes; many roads and trails are connected on the property. Which means there is a huge chance to be able to see wildlife around the lodge.
