David Bowie, who was called godfather of glam rock, passed away on January,10th because of the cancer. Bowie kept his illness a secret untill he died.
According to The Hollywood reporter, He died after a long battle with cancer under the watchful eye of his family. In his dying days, Bowie dispatched poignant thank-you notes to friends who remained unaware he was at death’s door until yesterday’s announcement.
